Athena is a small town teacher with a big passion for the art of dance. From the age of 2 Dance has been a staple in Athena’s life. Athena hopes to Instil her love for the art in all dancers she comes across. During her training, Athena completed her RAD ballet exams, ISTD graded and vocational exams for Tap and Modern, as well as competed as a competitive dancer. Throughout the last decade, Athena has obtained teaching qualifications from many highly esteemed organizations. Athena holds an Associate teaching certificate from the ISTD, trained in modern theatre and tap dance faculty. A special interest in Acrobatics led Athena to gaining qualification from Acrobatic Arts, Aerial Dance Academy and Alixa Flexibility. Athena has gained certified adjudicator status from both Acrobatic Arts and Acro Dance Teachers Association . Athena is a certified instructor with Progressing Ballet Technique, as well as Certified Instructor with International Dance Teaching Standards. Aside from dance teaching, Athena has a career in health care and loves that her knowledge of anatomy and physiology passes along to her students and helps keep them safe in their training.
