Certified Competition Adjudicator: Acro Dance; Contemporary; Jazz; Lyrical; Hip Hop

Born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Monica Sorbara is a professional dancer, choreographer, and an in-demand acrobatic instructor across the GTA. She graduated from Ryerson University, where she received a BFA in Performance Dance. Monica has performed professionally with the Toronto Raptors Dance Pak, Toronto Blue Jays J-Force team, and Creativiva. She has performed in events such as the JOGA x Reebok Fashion show for Toronto Women’s Fashion Week, the Pan Am games opening ceremony and WeDay.

Monica is the Co-Owner of Matricks Acro, Canada’s leading acrobatics intensive and Canada’s first Acro dance Competition. She currently teaches competitive Acro dance across the GTA with award-winning choreography. Monica is also a trained aerial silks artist and is currently learning multiple martial art disciplines; Taekwondo, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu and Boxing. She currently obtains her Acro Dance Teacher Certification, is a certified Acro Dance Adjudicator, Certified Animal Flow level 1 instructor and is part of the Professional Dance Adjudicator’s Alliance.
