Nicole Schaller

Nicole Schaller (BAEd, ACE-GFI, AA, ADA)

Certified Competition Adjudicator: Jazz; Tap; Ballet; Acro Dance

Nicole began dancing at the young age of two. In her 16 years of training at Bataille Academie of the Danse, she became a well rounded performer with experience in ballet, tap, jazz, modern and acrobatics.
Nicole decided to combine her love of dance with her drive to teach.  She started instructing dance classes in 2004 while pursuing a degree in Elementary Education at Northern Illinois University. After an ambitious entry in a bodybuilding competition at NIU, Nicole found her final area of expertise, fitness.
Nicole developed an acrobatic curriculum and choreographed in Huntsville, AL, before returning to Chicago in 2010. She continues to instruct dance and fitness classes in the Chicagoland area for ages 2-adult. She leads a competitive acro dance group and teaches private acrobatic lessons.
Nicole enjoys taking part in master dance classes. She has worked with many different teachers and choreographers from around the United States, including Joel Hall, members of Aerial Dance Chicago, River North Chicago, Giordano Dance School and the New York City Ballet. Nicole continues to advance her career with certifications from Acrobatic Arts and American Council on Exercise, Youth Fitness Specialist. She is a proud founding member of the ADTA Acro Dance Adjudicator.
The elementary education background along with Nicole’s group exercise wisdom allow her to bring a unique perspective to adjudication. Nicole believes that the best part of working with dancers is guiding them toward achieving their goals and celebrating their accomplishments.
