I started dancing at the age of three and began my examination process at the age of 7. I completed examinations in ADAPT Jazz and Tap to the Intermediate 3 level; RAD Ballet from Primary to the Advanced 1 level; CDTA Ballet, Tap, and Jazz, achieving Advanced levels in all three. I took multiple exams in Highlands SDTA, achieving my Scottish Award 4 level. I also took multiple exams in Baton Twirling.
I continued my training with ADAPT, achieving my Teacher Certificate in 2004, as well with RAD Ballet CBTS, achieving my Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies in 2006. I have been an Associate Member (Stage Tap) with CDTA since 2003. In 2015 I completed my Junior Acrobatique Teaching Certification and am currently working on my Acrobatique Intermediate level Certification.
I established Giselle’s ShowTyme Dance Studio in 1999 at the age of 14. My studio grew in 5 years to a travelling studio, teaching dance 7 days a week to multiple small towns surrounding Assiniboia, Sask. In the year 2006 I purchased a space in Assiniboia. My studio grew in 4 years to the point where I purchased our current studio in 2010. This enabled me to hire another teacher and offer more classes teaching out of two separate rooms. I am currently in my 18th year of teaching and continue to develop my education in Teaching Dance and maintaining my competencies. I am proud to say that our studio is a small yet strong examination studio achieving high standards in Ballet, Tap and Jazz.
