Launch Your Acro Program Right The First Time
You want an Acro Program that is set up properly, gets results, and is safe and fun for your students. But it can be a big commitment to introduce a new genre, purchase equipment, and get a teacher certified, especially when you’re not sure if Acro will even fly at your studio!
Like you, we believe that Acro should be more accessible for studios, and that it shouldn’t be so difficult to get started.
That’s why we created the Acro 101 Beginner Studio Online Course AND Curriculum for teachers and students.
This program is a 12-week guided online beginner course for teachers, who learn as they are implementing a beginner 12-week session for acrobats ages 6 – 12.
Over 282 dance worldwide have already implemented the Acro 101 program at their studios, as it is THE formula for ensuring a successful, long-term Acro program.
With set lesson plans that include strength, flexibility, basic tricks, partnering, and across the floor Acro Dance progressions, this program will give your beginner acrobats the strong technical foundation they need in Acro.
Plus, lesson plans come with both 45 and 60-minute class options, meaning you can choose the class length that best-fits your studio’s schedule!
It’s easy to implement:
- Add a 12-week beginner Acro Dance session to your studio calendar that runs from mid March until mid June.
- Follow along with the online class as you implement the Acro 101 Teacher Lessons and corresponding Lesson Plans.
- Watch your students learn, progress and graduate the Acro 101, 12-week session.
- Transition your excited students into a full-year JUNIOR Acro Dance program this September.
Why make beginner Acro more complicated than it needs to be, or risk students getting injured, or choosing to take classes elsewhere, because of a poorly set up program?
Use our plug-and-play system to get your Acro Program off on the right foot from DAY 1.
Success stories from some of our teachers
We use the Acro 101 Program as the foundation for our studio’s recreational Acro program, and it’s so easy to use!
Frequently Asked Questions
Is this program the right choice for me?
For studios who don’t currently offer acro, The Acro 101 Program is great for gauging interest and getting students excited about acro, without committing to a full year program.
For studios who do have established acro classes, the Acro 101 Program acts as a feeder system for your regular acro classes.
Once students complete their 12-week beginner session, you can add them to an existing Junior Acro Class. Run two or three 12-week sessions each year, and continue student intake throughout your season!
What is included with the program?
The Acro 101 Program includes:
- A 12-week online class with syllabus creator Melissa Klassen, coaching you through the implementation of your session.
- Six detailed classroom lesson plans (each to be used for 2 weeks)
- Six Corresponding Teacher Lesson video tutorials, to show you exactly how to run each class.
- The Comprehensive Acro 101 Instructors’ Manual
- Full-color illustrations of every trick in the curriculum to print off and laminate, to use in your class circuits.
- The downloadable Progress Chart to print off for each student and track development.
- The downloadable Student Certificate, print off for each student who participates in the session.
- Branded images/memes for advertising your Acro 101 session on social media and your website.
How long is each set classroom lesson plan?
Each set classroom lesson plan has a 45-minute class option, and a 60-minute class option, giving you the flexibility to run classes that best-fit your studio’s schedule.
Why should I add acro to my studio’s list of offerings?
Adding Acro Dance to your studio is a great way to increase revenue, stay competitive in the industry, and provide your students with well-rounded training.
The strength, flexibility, and body awareness work that is provided in an acro class transfers over to all other dance genres – most studios find that the students who take acro are also their strongest dancers.
When does the course start and finish?
Acro 101 Course and Curriclum is available all year as a self-paced online course and beginner acro curriculum. A guided coaching course is available as a bonus each March through June for teachers to participate in if they wish.
Once you’ve done your first 12-week session, re-use the program throughout the year as a feeder system for your brand new Acro students.
