What’s Included In The Advanced Studio Bundle?

Everything you need to have an Advanced program that gets great results, is fun for students and teachers, prevents injuries, and progresses on from the Intermediate level to professional acro dance.

This program is an Advanced-level syllabus for students that have completed the Intermediate Syllabus.

It includes the Advanced syllabus (3+ years of student work), the Senior Male Acrobat skill set, textbook, syllabus video tutorials, monthly classroom lesson plans, weekly teacher’s coaching calls, student progress charts, achievement pins (pins ordered separately), and certification for one teacher.

Additional teachers may certify from the same studio for an additional ‘tuition only’ fee.

How Does Advanced Teacher’s Certification Work?

One Advanced teachers certification spot is included with your Advanced Studio Bundle.

Teacher’s Certification is a one-year, practical-based, online certification course.

Certifying teachers must have an “implementation class” to learn how to teach and spot the Advanced Syllabus content.

Teachers utilize the monthly classroom lesson plans and Advanced Syllabus bundle materials. They receive monthly teachers’ lessons, weekly coaching calls, and a personal mentor as they work through the certification course material.

Throughout the year, teachers are required to submit video of themselves teaching and spotting each trick to the ADTA official evaluator.

Timely feedback is given, and teachers can apply corrections, where needed, throughout the year. Final Advanced certification is granted once all Advanced trick videos are submitted and marked.

Additional teachers from the same studio may certify at a “certification only” tuition fee.

Members recieve free updates whenever syllabus revisions take place, and do not pay yearly dues/fees.

Tell me more about online certification

This Online Certification is for you if you’ve already completed your JUNIOR and INTERMEDIATE Certifications, either Online or In-Person. Note: you must have students who have completed the Intermediate Syllabus and are ready to tackle the Advanced work.

Do I have to pay annual fees? And what about revisions to the syllabus?

Once a member, always a member! All Advanced bundle holders receive updates and revisions FREE of charge!

No annual fees/dues are required.

How long is the Advanced course, and how does it work?

The Advanced Certification Course is a 1 year “learn how to teach Advanced Acro” coaching program. Month 1 is your preparation month; months 2-11, you will implement course work with your “implementation class” at your studio, with the coaching of ADTA Founder Melissa Klassen.

Each month, you’ll receive a Teacher Lesson, “how-to” trick tutorials, and a Classroom Plan as you learn exactly how to teach and spot all skills in the Division.

As you learn, you will get all your questions answered during weekly Live Coaching Calls.

In order to complete official certification, you will submit videos of you teaching and spotting each trick in the Advanced Division, and will receive feedback for each submission.

You will learn the Division in one year, and then can take as long as you need to complete your video submissions to receive certification.

What if I haven't taken the Junior or Intermediate courses yet, but am experienced and think I can handle the Advanced work?

In this case, we encourage you apply to our Fast-Track Program!

In order to qualify, you must have seven or more years experience as a teacher of Acro Dance, and you must have students training at the Advanced level. To apply, email office@acrodanceteachersassociation.com with your resume (detailing your dance, Acro Dance, and acrobatics experience), and a reference letter(s) from your studio owner and/or studio clients.

Your resume and reference letter(s) are due within one week of your registration.

What's your refund policy?

Is there a minimum age to take the course?

Yes, all teachers must be a minimum of age 17 at the time of registration. Teachers who register before they are 17 will not be granted ADTA certification.

Can I take my Advanced course before I have completed my Intermediate course?

While anyone may purchase any membership certification program, teachers cannot submit for certification in Intermediate or Advanced levels before completing certification in the level previous, unless they qualify for the Fast Track Method.

I'm a studio owner and I'd like two or more of my teachers to get certified. Can I certify more than my one included teacher?

Additional teachers from the same studio pay a “certification only” tuition fee. Studio’s can submit as many teachers as they want for certification at the tuition only fee. Please contact the office to register additional teachers.

What If I already Own the Advanced Syllabus Bundle but I haven't certified yet?

Once you are ready to take your Advanced certification course, you will only be required to pay for the Advanced tuition fee. Please contact us in the office to register for “tuition only”: office@acrodanceteachersassociation.com

What if I did my Intermediate certification at a past live event?

All live certifying teachers will now be grandfathered in to the new online certification-coaching program, and, as a founding member, receive a 50% off discount. Please contact us in the office for a coupon code to register for the online Advanced course.

What if I already certified at a past live course, and I want to refresh?

All past, live certifying teachers are invited to refresh their certification with the Advanced online class. The refresher rate is a one-time fee of $99 USD, which gets you life time access to the Advanced bundle, teachers course content, and free updates and revisions. What if my students are ready for the Advanced work but my teacher has not completed her Intermediate Certification?

Anyone may purchase the Advanced Studio Bundle, but can not submit for Advanced teacher certification until Intermediate certification is complete. We will hold your included teacher certification spot until you are ready to submit for the Advanced certification class.

How do I submit for Advanced Certification

Once you own the Advanced Syllabus Bundle, you must email us in the office to inform us of the name of the Advanced certifying teacher.
