You know you need higher-level acro material for your students, you want to keep the momentum going, and don’t want to risk losing students who may feel like their progression will slow down.

Like you, we understand that going from Junior to Intermediate-level acro can feel nerve-wracking, especially when tumbling skills enter into the mix!

But we believe that NO ONE should let intimidation stop them: teaching and spotting Intermediate acro is more than achievable, and you are ready for this.

  • Our proven system has created professional acrobats around the globe.
  • Over 1,000 teachers have successfully made the jump from Junior to Intermediate-level acro with our program.
  • Students worldwide are perfecting their aerials and back handsprings with ADTA’s Intermediate acro formulas.

What’s Included In The Intermediate Studio Bundle?

Everything you need to have an Intermediate program that gets great results, is fun for students and teachers, prevents injuries, and progresses on from the Junior program that you’ve already built at your studio.

This program is an Intermediate – level studio system for students that have completed the ADTA Junior Syllabus.

It includes the Intermediate syllabus (3+ years of student work), textbook, syllabus video tutorials, monthly lesson plans, student progress charts, achievement pins (pins ordered separately), and certification for one teacher.

Additional teachers may certify from the same studio for an additional ‘tuition only’ fee.

How Does Intermediate Teacher’s Certification Work?

One Intermediate teachers certification spot is included with your Intermediate Studio Bundle.

Teacher’s Certification is a one-year, practical-based, online certification course.

Certifying teachers must have an “implementation class” to learn how to teach and spot the Intermediate Syllabus content. Teachers utilize the monthly classroom lesson plans and Intermediate Syllabus bundle materials.

They receive monthly teachers’ lessons, coaching calls, and a personal mentor as they work through the certification course material.

Throughout the year, teachers are required to submit video of themselves teaching and spotting each trick to the ADTA official evaluator.

Timely feedback is given, and teachers can apply corrections, where needed, throughout the year.

Final Intermediate certification is granted once all Intermediate trick videos are submitted and marked. Teachers are then granted permission to certify in the Advanced Division.

A studio may submit more than one teacher to become certified at an extra “certification only” tuition fee.

Members receive free updates whenever syllabus revisions take place, and do not pay yearly dues/fees.

So, how do you get started? That’s easy:

Step #1: Sign up for the Intermediate Membership to secure your Intermediate certification spot.

Step #2: Add an Intermediate-level class to your teaching schedule for next year.

Step #3: Implement the course content with your students and master Intermediate acro!

Ready to go from having a Junior-level program, to becoming everyone’s Intermediate studio of choice?

*Pre-Requisite: Although anyone may purchase the Intermediate membership, You may only submit for Intermediate certification if you have completed your Junior Certification, or if you qualify for the Fast Track Method. Contact the office if you are unsure if you are pre-qualified to register: office@acrodanceteachersassociation.com.

The Acro Teacher and Studio Manager

Starting Off Live and Switching To Online Certification – Miss Luisa’s Story

Miss Luisa’s story begins with her certifying live in her hometown of Sydney, Australia, and continues on as she is completing her certification online.

She has now done it both ways, and has some really interesting insights between the two.

She loved the live experience because she got to work with us in person, and being a social person, she loved the opportunity to meet new teachers live and build new friendships.

But implementation after the live course was challenging. It’s hard to remember what you’ve learned at a course back in the studio once your students get to the point where they are ready to learn more difficult tricks months later.

With online registration, and the rhythm of the monthly lesson plans, she didn’t have to spend all of the time she was spending writing her own lesson plans, and she had been lesson planning weekly, and now she has realized that she was doing a lot more work than she needed to be doing – because students really do need at least a month at each lesson plans to master each trick.

She found it a lot easier to work from an online program at her own studio, and her students’ own pace, rather than find the time and money to commit to travelling to a live course.

How long is the Intermediate course, and how does it work?

The Intermediate Certification Course is an 12-month “learn how to teach Intermediate Acro” coaching program.

Month 1 is preparation month; months 2-11, you will implement course work with your “implementation class” at your studio, with the coaching of ADTA Founder Melissa Klassen and her expert faculty.

Each month, you’ll receive a Teacher Lesson, “how-to” trick tutorials, and a Classroom Lesson Plan as you learn exactly how to teach and spot all skills in the Division.

As you learn, you will get all your questions answered during monthly Live Coaching Calls. In order to complete official certification, you will submit videos of you teaching and spotting each trick in the Intermediate Division, and will receive feedback for each submission.

You will learn the Division in one year, and then can take as long as you need to complete your video submissions to receive certification.
